Matt Simmons, principal in Fort Myers-based real estate appraisal firm Maxwell, Hendry & Simmons, was unanimously elected as the 2014 chairman of the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board at the group’s February meeting in Orlando. FREAB administers and enforces real estate appraiser license law and passes rules governing appraisers, instructors and appraisal management companies.
