Sometimes friends give you a little housewarming gift. Cynthia Nixon may have given her friends the home itself.
Best known as Miranda, the cynical member of the “Sex in the City” quartet, Nixon just plunked down $1.49 million for a Manhattan co-op.
In addition to Nixon and her wife, the other names on the property are a friend who worked as a dresser for the “Sex in the City” movies and his husband. The friends may be getting the better end of this deal, as Nixon’s family already has a Manhattan apartment.
Located in a 1929 building with a gorgeous marble lobby and exquisite Art Deco detailing, the new place is a corner unit in the heart of the East Village with sunny, west-facing windows.
It offers 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, with the loft feel of high, exposed-beam ceilings. Alongside a gracious living room bedecked with hardwood floors is a walk-through galley kitchen that connects the foyer to a breakfast nook with a view.
Nixon plays Nancy Reagan in the upcoming National Geographic movie “Killing Reagan.” She also stars in the new HBO series “Divorce.”
The listing agent was Faye Homayouni of Sotheby’s International Realty.
