It’s a lot cleaner than Erlich’s house, that’s for sure. But then again, “Silicon Valley” co-creator Mike Judge never had a tech startup sprawled out in his living room.
The man behind the hit HBO show, currently in its second season, has sold his Malibu home for $4.3 million, as first reported by Variety. That’s $450,000 less than he originally listed it for in 2012. But hey, at least Judge didn’t take a hit like the Pied Piper crew in last week’s episode, when their new billionaire investor decided to spend $30,000 on swag with the wrong company logo. (Think: a truck full of foam fingers and other useless crap.)
Judge is perhaps best known for creating “Beavis and Butt-Head,” but he also spent some time as a programmer in the ’80s.
“I don’t think a lot of these people [on the show] would have been voted most popular in high school or captain of the football team,” he told FT Magazine. “A lot of them are, socially, outsiders and then they become a big deal. I can relate to that a little bit. I was an awkward person in high school.”
By the looks of his former 6-bedroom, 5-bath spread, though, Judge turned out just fine. The ’70s ranch-style house is set back on an acre with a pool, tennis court and private guest cottage. While not right on the beach, it includes access to Little Dume.
Matt Rapf of Pritchett-Rapf Realtors held the listing.
