Mark Duplass, one of two brothers whom Rolling Stone magazine calls “Hollywood’s most low-key power players,” has bought a boxy home in Los Angeles’ hip Silver Lake neighborhood.
Duplass paid $4.44 million for the 6-bedroom, 6-bath home, according to Variety.
The home includes whole rooms that are wrapped floors, walls and ceilings with wood. It features spacious formal living and dining rooms and a large eat-in kitchen, plus a library, family room, game room, gym, office and guest suite.
Outside are grassy lawns and areas for entertaining alongside a pool and spa. A rooftop deck offers views from downtown to the Hollywood sign.
The listing agent was Brian Ades of Sotheby’s International Realty.
Perhaps best known for the 2005 cult semi-hit “The Puffy Chair,” Duplass has starred in a string of quirky creations since then, including the fantasy football series “The League,” which is headed into its seventh season. He and his brother, Jay, recently launched an HBO series called “Togetherness.”
