Jeri Ryan, known to Trekkies around the world as the liberated Borg Seven of Nine, is listing her longtime home in Southern California for $6.999 million.
“My son is grown and out of the house now, and after 15 years in our beautiful home, we’re ready for a change and a new adventure,” the actress said in a statement.
The 1.44-acre Encino estate exhibits Ryan’s strong Francophile tendencies, from an imported 1755 stone fireplace in the great room to a French kitchen garden with organic fruit and nut trees including fig, loquat, pecan, peach, pomegranate and orange.
“It literally feels like your own resort in the south of France,” said Alan Taylor, who with Aaron Kirman is representing the home at John Aaroe Group. “[Ryan] put together this pool house that frames the pool, with century-old reclaimed tile for the roof.”
The great room also features a custom stone wall and a beamed ceiling made from 150-year-old fumed oak, also imported from France. Other Versailles-style touches include wide-plank pine floors, a limestone and black walnut kitchen with a floor of century-old reclaimed terra cotta, and Venetian plaster bedroom walls.
The 5-bedroom, 4-bath mansion also boasts a home theater with seating for 20 and a snow-cone machine, plus a fully equipped gym.
