Actress Bea Arthur’s longtime estate in Brentwood is on the market for the first time since at least 1980, when property records show it sold for $551,505.
The secluded, 3.7-acre property is listed at $15.995 million, as first reported by Curbed LA.
Arthur, who played the title character in the ’70s hit series “Maude” and was one of the “Golden Girls” in the ’80s and ’90s, died in 2009. The property has belonged to her estate since then.
Built in 1924, it was extensively renovated by Arthur’s son in the ’80s, Curbed reports. The Mediterranean-style, 7,085-square-foot home has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
The vibe is all resort, from the spa-like master bathroom to the tennis court, waterfalls, circular swimming pool and manicured hiking trails.
The listing agent is Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency.
