It’s not often that ballet dancers guide prospective buyers through a home for sale, but in Westport, CT, they are — and everyone can watch online as one ballerina turns in the foyer and another poses in the master bath of a 9,661-square-foot mansion listed for $7.8 million.
A group of tutu-clad dancers grace the staircase of the 6-bedroom, 9-bath home, while two more glide en pointe while opening sliding doors to the formal dining room.
On the 2.85-acre grounds, the violin-and-piano soundtrack finds a young girl and boy leaping across the veranda and dancers in more modern attire posing statue-like around the pool.
Not all the rooms — which include a library, staff quarters, wine cellar and a movie screening room — feature a dancer. Still, you almost expect to see one turning inside the refrigerator as the doors slowly open.
Listing agent Todd David Miller of The Higgins Group/Christie’s International Real Estate came up with the idea. The dancers are students at Flash Pointe Dance in nearby Fairfield, CT, and the video was produced by Spotlight Home Tours of Utah.
“Video is the new wave in selling real estate,” Miller said. “The way we do it from a cinematic standpoint creates a sense of emotion, and home buying at the end of the day is a very emotional process.”
