It’s not clear what Beck planned to do with the 1920s home he bought four months ago, but now he’s flipping it.
The 4-bedroom, 4-bath Tudor is listed for $2.795 million, a tad above the $2.711 that the Grammy-winning musician shelled out in February.
His acquisition of the home was first reported by Variety, which noted that the home at that time was marketed as an “opportunity to remodel or rebuild.”
That may be, but it still has its bygone-era charms, including built-in shelving, a fireplace in the living room and an exposed-beam ceiling in one bedroom.
Certainly even Kanye West, who almost crashed Beck’s Album-of-the-Year Grammy speech earlier this year, could respect that artistry.
Beck and his wife, actress Marissa Ribisi, still own a home they bought late last year near Los Angeles’ hip Los Feliz area.
The listing agent for the Santa Monica home is Simon Salloom of Coldwell Banker.
