Pop star Jason Derulo is making moves — on the dance floor and at home. The new “So You Think You Can Dance” judge has listed his Coconut Creek, FL home for $2.9 million.
“The main house is close to 11,000 square feet, and there’s a guest house with a recording studio. He did a lot of ‘Want to Want Me’ there,” says listing agent Colleen Kaye of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate.
Derulo bought the country club estate in December 2012 and has since released two albums, spending more of his time in Los Angeles.
“He’s already purchased a property for $3.5 million in L.A. close to Chris Brown,” Kaye notes. “It was a long time coming.”
But with family in Florida, Derulo isn’t leaving town altogether.
“Jason’s very close to his mother,” Kaye says. “He’s not going to give up having a place here.”
Derulo told The Wall Street Journal he wishes he could have spent more time in “the masterpiece” at 7555 NW 39th Ave. Located near a prestigious golf course, the Mediterreanean estate has a lavish modern interior with 7 bedrooms and 9 baths.
“His mom said she loves more traditional decor, but Jason is very modern,” Kaye says. “He put so much of his taste into the house.”
The home has several amenities including an oversized pool and waterfall, a converted dance studio and a garage-turned-personal-gym.
