A slice of nirvana on the California coast is listed for $2.995 million by Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, who just won two Emmys for songs from “Sonic Highways,” which is both an album and an HBO series about the making of the album.
If that album is “a love letter to the history of American music,” as Grohl puts it, then his house by the waves between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara is a love letter to surfers.
The 3,088-square-foot heap of heavenly ocean views sits right on the beach, with windows surveying the Pacific Ocean from a wide-open living space and an expansive master suite, including its soaking tub.
With four bedrooms and four baths, the home offers dramatic, high-beamed ceilings, a private balcony off the master suite and fireplaces for staying toasty in the evenings. The garage fits up to four cars.
The listing agent is Buki Burke of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties.
