How do you know when a nerd has arrived?
When he’s the lead in a tech-themed comedy series, invests in knight-inspired costumes to wear to the Renaissance Pleasure Faire and buys his first (almost) million-dollar home.
It’s a trifecta for Thomas Middleditch, Nerd-in-Chief of HBO’s Emmy-nominated “Silicon Valley,” who just landed a bungalow in the Hollywood Hills for $849,000.
“He’s an incredible guy,” said his real estate agent, Peter Reyes of Keller Williams Realty. “I sold him his first unit and always told him that when he got really rich, not to forget to come back to me and buy a million-dollar house.”
It could be a while before Middleditch and his fiancee, costume designer Mollie Gates, are fully settled into the 1,662-square-foot home, billed as a “fantastic opportunity to re-imagine this expanded split-level 1920 California bungalow on a spacious lot in prime Beachwood Canyon” by listing agents Peter Lavin and Alastair Duncan of the Beachwood Team.
The home has two bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen with skylights and an exposed-beam family room large enough for a Dungeons & Dragons meetup.
